The PREDATOR 160 is built by Douglas Marine and has an innovative hybrid hull design giving excellent stability and speeds up to 37mph when fitted with a modest 60hp outboard., The PREDATOR 160 is a solid and practical sea boat designed with performance and safety in mind and independently tested and approved to Category C by AEA Technology Plc, a Government appointed testing laboratory recognised throughout the European Economic Community.
The hull is a modern hybrid semi-cathedral hull gives excellent sea-keeping qualities, which become particularily apparent in adverse conditions, when the deep Vee entry cuts through the seas and provides a dry, comfortable ride, even at speed. In tight power turns, the heavy reverse chine grips the water, virtually eliminating side slip and offering remarkable controllability. At anchor, the semi-cathedral hull form really comes into its own, providing a level of stability that must be experienced to be fully appreciated.
